Texas Strong Relief Concert

By: Laurie Gallardo

Texas farmers and ranchers are facing severe damages and countless losses brought on by the recent winter storm, including its devastating effects on crops and animals. Even the most resilient landowners were not prepared for the chaos brought on by the weeklong freeze. Today’s AMM spotlights a benefit organized to support these communities, the Texas Strong Relief Concert. Proceeds from donations and ticket sales will benefit the Texas Farmer Winter Storm Relief Fund, organized by the Texas Organic Farmers & Gardeners Association.

Bruce Robison and Kelly Willis headline today’s event, with a line-up that includes Jackie Venson, Ray Prim (“Sickens Me U” from Soulwriter Diaries is featured on today’s AMM), Rochelle & The Sidewinders, and Sir Woman. Check out all the great music from 3 to 10 p.m. today, Saturday March 13, at Dreamland, located at 2770 W Highway 290.

This is a socially-distanced show; masks are required.

Life and Life Only

The talent behind The Heavy Heavy is outstanding, so it’s no surprise that band leaders Georgie Fuller and Will Turner have a lifetime of musicianship behind them. Fuller’s experiences include performing at Montreux Jazz Festival as a teenager, while Turner undoubtedly connected to the contributions of his Malvern hometown musical predecessors Kate Bush, Led Zeppelin […]
