and enlightening.
Laurie Gallardo
Laurie Gallardo considers herself extremely fortunate to have a job doing something she loves, which is working in music – a lifelong passion. Gallardo hosts an afternoon music show on KUTX 98.9, Monday through Thursday 1-5PM (Central) for which she’s won seven Austin Music Industry Awards for Best Radio Personality a row. She’s also the host and producer of KUTX’s Austin Music Minute, a segment promoting live music performances by local and nationally/internationally-known artists. In addition to her radio presence, Gallardo has also made a name for herself as a voice actor, featured on various documentaries, anime series, video games, commercials, and theatrical projects. As a film actor, Gallardo made her big-screen debut in the 2014 independent thriller, Two Step, written and directed by Alex Johnson, and also has a comedic role in writer/director Dash Donato’s independent film, Foxy Trot. And Gallardo is also the creator, producer and host of an upcoming podcast from KUT and KUTX Studios, (SPF 1000) Vampire Sunscreen.
