Loving In Stereo

By: Laurie Gallardo

Quick note, listener: Today, your AMM host erroneously referred to Jungle”s album Loving In Stereo as “Living…” Deepest apologies for the incorrect mention. Let’s proceed.

Josh Lloyd-Watson and Tom McFarland wrote and recorded Jungle‘s 2021 LP Loving In Stereo during the height of the pandemic, while in lockdown. The West London duo had hopes of resuming world tour plans as soon as the turmoil subsided. All the rave reviews deemed it the album of that summer, especially with bass-groove bangers like “Talk About It” (featured on today’s AMM) and “Keep Moving.”

So…as you may have guessed, the plague kept everything on pause a bit longer, dampening the 2021 tour vibes. But this year Jungle picked up where they left off, and they’re heading to Austin for a show tomorrow night, Saturday Sept. 3, at ACL Live at The Moody Theater. Doors at 6:30 p.m., and Los Angeles-based songwriter/producer Paul Cherry opens at 8 p.m. Keep moving.

And it’s the spot where the Austin Blues Society Gathering […]

But today’s AMM has details about a special ACL Fest retrospective, from the eye of a wonderful Austin photographer. Perhaps your AMM host’s opinion is slightly skewered for various reasons, […]
