Why Bonnie‘s Voice Box (Fat Possum Records) is the multi-layered, dreamy pop embodiment of catharsis. There’s an undeniable emotional release of Blair Howerton’s lyricism and luminous vocals.

Howerton and Why Bonnie guitarist Sam Houdek will  Seattle band Deep Sea Diver and NYC-based artist Shaun Fleming‘s Diane Coffee for some tour dates this September, performing as a duo with a stripped down set including new songs. But coming up: Howerton performs a solo set tomorrow night, Wednesday July 14, at Captain Quackenbush’s Coffeehouse, 5326 Manchaca Rd. This bill is made even more awesome with a set by Austin-based artist Vonne. The show starts at 9 p.m.
