As you’ve no doubt heard your Austin Music Minute host mention before, local nonprofit SIMS Foundation supports not only Austin music artists, but the music community at large, with access to mental health and substance use recovery services including musicians, music industry professionals and their dependent family members.

May happens to be Mental Health Awareness Month, and to celebrate, SIMS and The Far Out Lounge and Stage in South Austin are presenting a big daytime benefit show tomorrow, Saturday May 15. Doors open at noon, and the music starts with Como Las Movies at 1 p.m., followed by Moving Panoramas (featured on today’s AMM) at 2:30 p.m., and The Deer at 4 p.m. The mighty DJ Raquiqui spins between sets.
