THEBROSFRESH residency at C-Boy’s

By: Laurie Gallardo

New Orleans-born ATX duo THEBROSFRESH (yes, that would be The Brothers Fresh) is the creation of actual brothers Torrence and Thurman Thomas. Los hermanos Thomas actually grew up in the town of Geismar, LA, located just between NOLA and Baton Rouge, bringing a rich musical history they draw much of their inspiration from. But THEBROSFRESH take the approach of engaging their audience with redefining what Black music from “the south” is, honoring the musical history while providing a much-needed new perspective.

Join The Brothers Fresh for their May residency show tonight, Thursday May 12, at C-Boy’s Heart and Soul on South Congress Ave. They play at 9:30 p.m., followed by eternal badass John Branch and Friends at 11:30 p.m.
