Lunar R.A.E. (née AbstractAmb, borne of musician Amber Baker) is the badass behind the drum set with Austin-based band Sir Woman. Her work also includes performing with Unknown Mortal Orchestra, and collaborating with bassist MonoNeon – no small coincidence he was one of the last musicians to work with Prince, FYI. Badass attracts badass.
But that’s only the tip of the iceberg on R.A.E.’s already impressive roster. As a solo artist and producer, R.A.E. celebrates all of her influences with a hybrid of rock, pop, funk, soul, R&B and hip-hop, culminating in her journey toward “Reaching Authentic Essence” – the R.A.E. in Lunar R.A.E. Hone in on the awesomeness that is today’s AMM featured track, “Other Side.”
