Your AMM host is currently experiencing the very distinct feeling of AAH-IT’S-ALL-HAPPENING-NOW. That is to say, KUTX is starting out the year with a bang.
First, we’re kicking off celebrations for KUTX’s 10th birthday this year, with all kinds of live music events and birthday treats – for you! Secondly, the birthday shenanigans this month coincide with Love Austin Music Month, presented in conjunction with the City of Austin Music and Entertainment Division, celebrating all manner of Austin music. And third, it’s Free Week in the ATX, an annual event presented by the Red River Cultural District featuring free music shows at participating local venues.
It’s a lot. All the things are happening! And what better way for the AMM to highlight all three than to shine the spotlight on a Free Week show at Hotel Vegas?! Dig into this all-Austin line-up including I’d Really Like To See You Again, Daydream Twins (“Carpop” is featured on today’s AMM), Glasshealer, and experimental artist Fillet. It’s all tonight, Tuesday Jan. 3, at Hotel Vegas on E. 6th. Doors at 8 p.m.
