The lightning strikes when The Peterson Brothers just go for it.
It’s the improvisational magic that lets Peterson sibs Alex and Glenn, Jr. take over the room and blow people away. Their mastery of classic funk and soul sounds, paired with the mad jams skills, ignites every performance with a unique energy. And all this from young musicians who learned how to play by listening to the records they grew up with – from B.B. King to the Isley Brothers, to Earth Wind and Fire and beyond.
The Peterson Brothers return to The Continental Club, 1315 S. Congress Ave., for a new weekly residency series kicking off at 6:30 p.m. tonight, Monday September 6. It also happens to be Glenn, Jr.’s birthday, so expect some extra celebrating at tonight’s show. And please remember to bring your mask.
