Central Texas top stories for September 19, 2025. The City of Austin is standing its ground after the Department of Justice says it’s launched an investigation into the city’s hiring practices. The City of Austin is proposing to revamp Sixth Street from I-35 to Brazos. Hays County approved a new budget and tax rate.
