The Hole Story is powered by Austin Beerworks
British singer-songwriter Jade Bird broke through in the U.S. in 2018 with “Lottery.” In this episode, she looks back at that song with a very different perspective, talks about the relationships and experiences behind her writing, and performs songs including music from her album, Who Wants to Talk About Love? A former Austinite, Bird now calls LA home. In October of 2025, she returned to Austin for The Hole Story, joining us at Hole in the Wall for a stripped-back set and the stories behind the songs.
New episodes of The Hole Story drop weekly on the KUTX YouTube channel and on-air Tuesdays at 10 pm on KUTX 98.9 FM.
