Governor Greg Abbott is bringing in the National Guard and State Troopers to the No Kings Day protest in Downtown Austin. Capital Metro’s board of directors will take a final vote Monday on Transit Plan 2035. Seven groups have filed briefs asking the U.S. Supreme Court to take on the case of Little versus Llano County. Yesterday was Christine DeLisle’s last day as mayor of Leander. Expect lots of traffic around Circuit of the Americas this weekend.

Some voters may have trouble casting a ballot on Monday as the state’s new voter registration system experiences snags. The Hays County Commissioners Court has voted to end all of its contracts with Flock, a company that operates automatic license plate readers. Travis County residents have one more week to weigh in on the next 10 years of county parks and trails. The League of Women Voters of Texas is coming out in support of Proposition 4 on the upcoming ballot. Extreme Drought has returned to the Austin area.

The U.S. Supreme Court has tossed out a plea from Austin-based conspiracy theorist Alex Jones. Austin ISD will receive feedback on a plan to close 13 campuses. People in Williamson County affected by the July storms have until October 31st to ask officials to help them remove debris from their properties.
