Central Texas top stories for May 7, 2025. After nearly seven hours of public testimony, this morning the San Marcos City Council rejected a resolution supporting a ceasefire in Gaza by a vote of five to two. The Department of Defense is consolidating the U.S. Army Futures Command with another office. Rents in Austin continue to fall.
