Central Texas top stories for February 20, 2024. Early voting in the March 5th primaries begins today. Lawyers for the City of Austin were in court today over the question of how tax dollars collected from property owners just south of Lady Bird Lake can be used. The City of San Marcos is considering a “can ban” ordinance. Austin Justice Coalition calls out the city over a lack of progress on over 50 recommendations from 2008 meant to improve the quality of life of Black residents. Del Valle ISD to swear in former trustee to vacant school board seat.
