The accordions are on fire, so you know this dance party’s lit. Today’s live stream pick come to you courtesy of the Kennedy Center’s Couch Concert series: The Traditional Music of Texas. Presented in partnership with Texas Folklife, this live stream show features accordion-fronted performances of conjunto done by Brownsville-based artist Juan Longoria, Jr.; polka by New Braunfels artist Isaak Klaus; and Zydeco with Houston artist Keyun Dickson. And just a heads-up: Each of these accordion masters happen to be former champions of Texas Folklife’s Big Squeeze accordion contest, and have performed at the annual Accordion Kings & Queens Concert in Houston.
