No excuses needed for making any night a cumbia night, querida, but it’s awesome to see Hotel Vegas Cumbia Night making a fabulous return tonight, Saturday Jan. 21 at Hotel Vegas for your dancing pleasure. ¡Y no olvides la musica!
Starting out the night is Cumbia Austin, providing a free dance lesson to get your energy levels pumping at 9:30 p.m. Then the all-womxn Selena tribute band Las Chicas En 512 kicks off the live music at 10 p.m., followed by Cumbia Night fave El Tule (featured on today’s AMM) at 11 p.m., and sensational San Antonio indie orquesta Latina Volcán performs at midnight. To keep the dancing going, badass DJ Manolo Black spins between sets and closes out the night. Fantástico.
