The celebration of Love Austin Music Month continues on the Austin Music Minute with some crazy cool trash-glam punk by a band your AMM host has been raving about – so much so that some of those raves are on a t-shirt – Lord Friday the 13th. The sibs Lenz, Felix on vocals and Sloan shredding guitar, let loose with the freaky, fantastical and fabulous on their musical adventures in all their garage-glam, red platform shoe glory. And a side of bat wings, thank you.
Lord Friday’s next dollar-store-punk-chic soirée is coming up tomorrow night, Thursday Jan. 20, at Hotel Vegas on E. 6th, on a bill with Spotter and LA dreamy grunge trio Moonily. Doors open at 9 p.m. Check with the venue for COVID safety protocol, and remember to bring your mask.
