Whether you’re a Hole In the Wall regular or you’ve done your fair share of shows there, you’re gonna know the damn bathroom(s). It’s a living (mostly crude) monument to everybody who’s passed through, played there, drank there, partied there, all the things you may – or may not – remember. If you haven’t left some kind of scribble on the walls, you’ve left a strategically-placed sticker. So the HITW bathroom cameo in the video for “Nobody But You” by Hong Kong Wigs feels like the perfect setting for the power trio’s rock/punk/glam spree – jangly riffs, sick bops, sick drums…and cool shades.
This time around, Hong Kong Wigs brings the show to Swan Dive on Red River tonight, Saturday July 2. Doors open at 9 p.m., with a sick line-up including Pretty Little Thieves (new single “Cold River” out July 22), mad Punkacana trio Spit City, and electro-rock outfit Grand Maximum (premiering their new track “Ghosts Walking On Your Path” this evening). The weekend is yours.
