The weather couldn’t be more perfect.
It’s as if it cooled down for this evening’s show at The Ballroom. And, while revisiting some Austin Music Minute Lord Buffalo memories, various recurring vibes consistently reappeared: Haunted. Dark. Brooding. Mystical. Unsettling. All complimentary, of course. A Lord Buffalo performance is, indeed, an experience that leaves one breathless and blown away. It’s easy to get caught up in the mesmerizing pulse.
Lord Buffalo recently returned from a brief Southwestern tour, which included a stop at the Psycho Las Vegas Fest. Now it’s time for an entrancing autumnal…conjuring. Give a spin to Tohu Wa Bohu and definitely revisit Lord Buffalo’s self-titled LP, and most especially their 2012 EP. Then see them tonight, Saturday Oct. 16, at The Ballroom, 2906 Fruth St. Get there early to see the entire line-up, featuring psych/garage rock outfit Sheverb, and Dallas-based desert rock/doomfolk trio The Angelus. Badass, one and all.
