It was two years’ worth of Houston meticulously crafting, exploring, redoing, and piecing together the raw emotions of one’s internal perspective made more outwardly visible, BLK ODYSSY‘s BLK Vintage. Houston said it best in his recent interview with The Breaks‘ Fresh Knight: Working on the new LP opened the floodgates, lifted a tremendous weight from his shoulders, “…the pain, triumph and adversity and consolidated it into something for people to have a new viewpoint of life for a Black American man.”
The KUTX August Artist of the Month celebrates the release of the new album with a show tonight, Friday August 20, at The Parish, 214 E. St. And frankly, it’s a dream bill with Eimaral Sol and Daniel Fears. Doors open at 8 p.m., and the show begins at 9 p.m. Please remember to bring your mask.
