Best Work of Art

By: Laurie Gallardo

Today’s AMM featured artist made their debut with the breathtaking “Isn’t It Enough,” an incredible voice ringing out from the mountaintop while simultaneously conveying an uncertainty of the future. “But what if this is all we’ve got? / We might not make it big, but we could have love. / And isn’t that enough?” And from that debut alone, Aubrey Hays is an artist to have on your radar.

With follow-ups “I Wanna See This Through” and today’s AMM track “Statue” (2021), the momentum is building, and more is on the horizon. Plus this month, you have the opportunity to see Hays’ live performance with their August residency at Geraldine’s, 605 Davis St. at Hotel Van Zandt. Their next show is this Wednesday, Aug. 17, starting at 8 p.m. Don’t miss out.
