A new permanent supportive housing community opened in Austin today for people experiencing chronic homelessness. The SIMS Foundation is no longer accepting new clients and began dropping existing patients. Austin Water rates are higher, effective today.

Hays County voters will decide this fall whether to pass a major bond for road improvements.
