Considering the dynamos behind the synergy of Geto Gala, perhaps the whole might be greater than the sum of its parts. But tap on the breaks there, Aristotle. Both are great artists in their own right. Bastrop-born and raised Deezie Brown enchants and intrigues with the autobiographical stories of 5th Wheel Fairytale, where funk, gospel, roots and twang intertwine; while the multi-faceted Jake Lloyd leads the pack with instant classics “Sweat,” “Cold Summer” and “Crossroading.” The Breaks‘ Fresh Knight put it best when describing Lloyd as “…not all R&B, not all Soul, not entirely Rock, or Country, he’s just Jake.” Therefore, Geto Gala equals badass, times ten.
