Central Texas top stories for June 17, 2025. Local and state officials gathered outside the Texas Capitol this morning to reflect on what’s changed since the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision in Roe v. Wade was overturned three years ago. Austin ISD elementary and middle school students made gains in reading on their springtime STAAR tests. Austin has opened a daytime cooling center for people experiencing homelessness.
